The Koutali Project was born from my desire to give to kitchen items like spoons and forks a second life. The idea is not new and there is already a relative term: upcycled.
Readers and followers of FauxBilicious acquired an upcycled attitude, have become upcycled addicts and have embraced the idea of Koutali Project strongly. In this column they explain to us why!
Μου άρεσαν πάντα τα μεγάλα μπουγιόζικα, έντονα και ανοιχτόχρωμα κοσμήματα με πρωτότυπα σχέδια. Φοράω κυρίως cuffs και κολιέ φτιαγμένα από ευτελή υλικά (πλαστικό, ύφασμα, ανοξείδωτο μέταλλο). Τελευταία βέβαια έχω προσθέσει στη συλλογή μου δαχτυλίδια από το Koutali Project. Με προτίμηση σε κομμάτια που θυμίζουν έντονα κουτάλια. Έχω χαρίσει και σε φίλες μου κι έχω μόνιμα τα μάτια μου ανοιχτά για καινούρια σχέδια.
What sort of jewelry do you like wearing?
I always liked big, intensely colored jewelery with original designs. I mostly wear cuffs and necklaces made of cheap materials (plastic, cloth, stainless metal). Lately I 've added rings from The Koutali Project to my collection. With preference to pieces that strongly remind me of spoons. I 've also gifted some to friends and always have my eyes open for new designs.

Η Νίνα είναι φίλη μου από το γυμνάσιο. Είναι μια γυναίκα που δεν περνάει απαρατήρητη για τρεις βασικούς λόγους: το χαμόγελό της, την όψη της που παραπέμπει σε Άπω Ανατολή και το στυλ της που είναι ιδιαίτερα πρωτότυπο. Συνδυάζει το κάζουαλ με το εξεζητημένο και δεν διστάζει ενίοτε να κάνει εκκεντρικές εμφανίσεις. Ο λόγος είναι οι επιρροές που έχει δεχθεί από τους χώρους δουλειάς της. Gallery Bernier-Eliades, Κέντρο Αρχιτεκτονικής Μεσογείου, Water Lily Hotel-Apartments. Χώροι άμεσα συνυφασμένοι με τον πολιτισμό. Ωστόσο η τελευταία της εργασία ως μάνατζερ στο ChaniaSports έχει επηρεάσει το στυλ της σε επίπεδο άνεσης. Προτιμάει πλέον αθλητικές φόρμες και κολάν συνδυασμένα με σύγχρονα κομμάτια της γκαρνταρόμπας και ως απαραίτητο fashion accessory χρησιμοποιεί πλέον κοσμήματα από το Koutali Project!!!
Nina is my friend from high school. She is a woman who does not go unnoticed for three main reasons: her smile, her looks which refer to the Far East and her style which is very original. She combines casual with sophisticate and sometimes she doesn't hesitate to even make eccentric appearances. The reason is her influences from her work premises. Gallery Bernier-Eliades, Mediterranean Architecture Center, Water Lily Hotel-Apartments are areas directly intertwined with culture. But her latest job as a manager at ChaniaSports has influenced her style to the level of comfort. She prefers wearing tracksuits and leggings combined with modern pieces of dressing and styled with the most necessary fashion accessories from The Koutali Project !!!
