Maria Francesca Pepe Jewelry!

I love to read biographies of successful people. Especially if it comes to women who have managed to stand out through their work. Women entrepreneurs, artists, writers who build a world according to their look. So when I discover a new, for me, jewelery designer it's impossible not to google her and read the about page on the official website.Today's post is about Maria Francesca Pepe which creates contemporary jewelry and has one of the most successful brands worldwide. Maria Francesca Pepe was born in southern Italy, studied literature and philosophy, and in 2003 completed her studies in fashion design. She worked as a freelance designer in Milan for brands like Blumarine, Luciano Soprani and KOOKAI, but in order to complete her master degree she moved to London. Her collection for autumn 2008 presented at London Fashion Week attracted the attention of the press and buyers. She founded her eponymous brand by focusing on avant garde jewelry while working alongside Jens Laugesen and Vivienne Westwood for about a year before creating her own company. She lives and works with her team in London and her jewelry is handmade and manufactured in Italy.The collection for spring summer 2015 is influenced by the city and for those who will stay in the city I would add. Μ' αρέσει πολύ να διαβάζω βιογραφίες πετυχημένων ανθρώπων. Ειδικά εάν πρόκειται για γυναίκες που κατάφεραν να ξεχωρίσουν με τη δουλειά τους. Γυναίκες επιχειρηματίες, καλλιτέχνιδες, συγγραφείς που χτίζουν γύρω τους έναν κόσμο σύμφωνα με τη δική τους ματιά. Όταν λοιπόν ανακαλύπτω μια καινούρια, για μένα, σχεδιάστρια κοσμημάτων είναι αδύνατον να μην την γκουγκλάρω και να διαβάσω το about page στην επίσημη σελίδα της.

Ο λόγος σήμερα για την Maria Francesca Pepe η οποία φτιάχνει σύγχρονα κοσμήματα και έχει ένα από τα πιο πετυχημένα brand παγκοσμίως. Η Maria Francesca Pepe γεννήθηκε στη νότια Ιταλία, σπούδασε φιλολογία και φιλοσοφία και το 2003 ολοκλήρωσε τις σπουδές της στο σχέδιο μόδας. Εργάστηκε freelance σχεδιάστρια στο Μιλάνο για μάρκες όπως η Blumarine, Luciano Soprani και KOOKAI,  αλλά προκειμένου να ολοκληρώσει το μεταπτυχιακό της μετακόμισε στο Λονδίνο. Η συλλογή της για το φθινόπωρο 2008 που παρουσιάστηκε στην Εβδομάδα Μόδας του Λονδίνου τράβηξε την προσοχή του τύπου και των αγοραστών. Ίδρυσε την ομώνυμη μάρκα της εστιάζοντας σε αβάντ γκάρντ κοσμήματα  ενώ εργαζόταν παράλληλα με τους Jens Laugesen και Vivienne Westwood για περίπου ένα χρόνο, πριν δημιουργήσει τη δικής της εταιρεία. Ζει και εργάζεται με την ομάδα της στο Λονδίνο ενώ τα κοσμήματά της είναι χειροποίητα και κατασκευάζονται στην Ιταλία.

Η συλλογή της για την άνοιξη καλοκαίρι 2015 είναι επηρεασμένη από την πόλη και γι' αυτούς που θα παραμείνουν στην πόλη θα πρόσθετα. Όπως εμένα!!!
